Black Kettle Farms Blueberry Frost 24% thc 2% terpenes via (Herbal Dispatch)
Brand:
Today, I'm trying another Black Kettle Farms strain Blueberry Frost through Herbal Dispatch. I grabbed 3 x 3.5 grams for a total 10.5 grams. The 3.5s were 29.95$ before tax. Black Kettle Farms is a craft grower based in Langley ,BC. Blueberry Frost is a mix of Blueberry Syrup and Permafrost . This strain is coming in at 24%% thc and 2% terpenes. It was packaged Dec 15 ,2023. The dominant terpenes are Limonene 0.52%,Caryophyllene 0.46%,Myrcene 0.28%.
Observations:
Opening each bag, I was presented with a medium bud in each with few smaller broken buds in it . The buds did come a little more on drier vs. the donkey butter strain I grabbed. Leaving in Mason Jar, it did minimal for any of dryness but did retain little spongyness. Not brittle dry but more noticeable .The buds are littered in tricomes and have nice frostyness with nice mix or orange pistils and an array of green hues from dark to some light to see a tad of little purple hues .
Aroma:
Opening up bags, I do get more muted aroma, so I decided to leave it in Mason Jar to see if I can pick up on the aroma . After 4 days of sitting in a mason jar the aroma return a bit more to make it noticeable and was litte more when grinding a bud up.The first notes I picked up were nice earthy sweet tones as I continued picked up those sweet tones they are followed and mix with nice subtle fruity tone definitely noticing it easily as blueberry note. Some subtle gassy/diesel notes that soon get mixed in with stronger earthy notes .It's a great aroma I wish it was stronger, but it shows it lineage enough through the terpenes present.
Flavour:
Opening my grinder up after breaking up a bud and putting it in vape immediately tastes a mix of earthyness mixed with some subtle blueberry fruity tones in the background . As I continued, I get notes of spice that mix with earthyness on exhale. I do notice very subtle herbal notes in the earthyness. Overall, it'd nice smooth vape hit and was quite enjoyable. Bong hits and joints were smooth as well. I do wish their was more of stronger fruity notes than the subtle ones and maybe a stronger flavor profile as well, although the earthyness comes out surprisingly promient .
Effects:
After about 10 mins passed, it kinda hits you by suprise a bit, definitely classic creeper strain . Almost immediately, I got onset of medium/moderate potency . The effects that followed were nice creative mindset with nice touch of uplifting vibes at first . Not too long after, nice euphoria and relaxing vibes follow. It keeps around that same potency and keeps going strong while nice focus high settles in subtlety and touch of body high and calmness throughout eventually sleepy vibes kick in later to finish ofthe effects. Overall, it feels like nice decent 60/40 sedating to alerting it more long-lasting high with good potency.
Conclusion:
My second strain I have tried by Black Kettle Farms and will say it is a good strain and its effects make it stand out the best .Although the dryness of buds and on the strain is on the lighter side of aroma and flavor .Although being smooth smoke, the aroma and flavor were disappointing aspects of this strain, but the effects are still promient and worth a try. I recommend this to those looking for some good daytime/evening smoke that has some great mix of sedating to some alerting happy vibes . Although it is a tad more sedating for those who prefer dominate sedating, strain it more as evening smoke than I would consider. High tolerance and low tolerance users would enjoy the effects of this strain if you solely focused on effects. Low tolerance users start of small cause this is more of creeper strain or essentially has more delayed onset of effects than other strains I've noticed. It personally helps me with chronic pain and a decent mood lifter .
Hope this helps, and happy tokes ahead 🙏🙏🔥🔥💨💨
